We already send money. Now let's send ideas too.
For ten days, Moroccans living abroad are invited to submit one concrete idea for the country's economic future. Every contribution is collected, structured, and compiled into a White Paper handed to Morocco's next government.
Why this window matters
Morocco holds legislative elections on 23 September. The consultation closes the day before — so what the diaspora writes this week reaches a government whose programme is still being drafted. The diaspora is usually addressed as a source of remittances and goodwill. For ten days, it is addressed as an author.
of Moroccans live outside Morocco, with skills, capital and networks spread across every continent.
of remittances have supported families and built homes. Expertise has never had the same channel back.
No institution, no party, no membership. A form and a hashtag are the entire mechanism.
Every idea is synthesised into a single White Paper of actionable recommendations — public, and attributed to its contributors.
How it works
Seven themes, one question each
Pick the one closest to what you know. You can submit to more than one — but one idea per submission keeps the synthesis clean.
What we keep hearing
Four patterns from conversations across the diaspora that shaped this initiative. If they match your experience, that experience belongs in the White Paper.
Share your idea
One idea per submission. Your name is used for attribution in the White Paper; your email only to reach you back. Nothing is sold, shared or published without your consent.
Write your idea on any platform and tag #FikraMRE. We collect tagged posts daily — public and form submissions carry the same weight.
#FikraMREDon't wait for us. Run your own campaign.
Every post, story and caption is free to download in English and Arabic. No permission, no approval, no credit needed — take the pack, put your own idea in it, and post it to your own people. A hundred voices in a hundred cities beats one account posting twice a day.
The full ten-day pack
Twenty posts, two per day — a morning statement and an evening question. Run the same ten days for your association, company page or feed, or pick the days that fit your audience.
#FikraMRE #MRE
Use and reshare all of it freely. Please keep the logo and hashtag intact, and don't attach the initiative to a party or a commercial offer. Need another size or format — a banner, a print poster, a different language? Ask us.
Ask for another formatQuestions
Anyone Moroccan or of Moroccan heritage living outside Morocco — and anyone in Morocco who wants to answer. Students, workers, founders, retirees. No title required.
Arabic, Darija, Tamazight, French, English, Spanish, Dutch — whichever you think in. Nothing is filtered out by language.
It is civic, not partisan. The initiative is independent of any party and addresses whichever government takes office.
Your email is used only to contact you about this consultation. Ideas are quoted with your first name and city only if you consented; full names and addresses are never published.
Yes — send them one at a time so each can be classified properly. There is no limit.
Yes. The White Paper is published after the consultation closes, and everyone who submitted is notified by email.
Write it. Post it. Tag it.
After the deadline the White Paper is written from whatever came in. One sentence still counts.
